Benzaclin is a combination medication and used to treat acne. It works by treating the bacterial infection that causes acne. Patients that have been treated with Benzaclin report better imporovement in their acne than patients who were treated with either clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide alone.
Improvments in your acne may occur as early as two weeks. Continue the treatment plan as discussed by you and your physician. Side effects are usually limited to skin and may include dry skin, reaciton at the site of the
application, itching, peeling, redness, and sunburn. Also clindamuycin, an ingredient in Benzaclin, may cause diarrhea.
